Co-editing of Case Books

Description
Africa Case Lab at ESCA Ecole de Management in Morocco partnered with the El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center (KCC) at the American University in Cairo to produce a casebook featuring ten business case studies—five highlighting Moroccan companies and five focusing on Egyptian firms. This impactful collaboration between Africa Case Lab and KCC resulted in a rich collection of teaching cases that shed light on well-established businesses across both countries.
The case studies explore a variety of strategic challenges and management issues, including market repositioning, supply chain optimization, human resource practices, crisis response, business model innovation, and long-term sustainability. Together, they cover a wide spectrum of the entrepreneurial journey—from launch and expansion to consolidation and global growth. Designed as practical teaching tools, these cases are particularly relevant for courses in entrepreneurship, new venture management, and business strategy.

Description
This book offers a reflection on university-business collaboration as both a source of academic knowledge creation and a means of addressing real-world challenges faced by companies. It is the outcome of a joint effort involving European and Maghreb-based academic researchers and managers from Maghreb businesses. Together, they engaged in a knowledge-sharing process that combined academic expertise with practical application in two key areas: the development of pedagogical case studies based on managerial situations and the execution of research and innovation projects tackling business-related issues.
